Crown tail Bettas are an extreme form of combtail. The individual
fin rays extend beyond
the fin webbing. The top pictured male appears to have extensive
web reduction
along with the combtail trait producing an elongated appearance
of the rays.
** Henry defines a crowntail as being a super delta combined with the extended combtail trait **
Successive generations of breeding for this
trait has produced these unique fish.
